Ed D continues to be on hospice care at home.
Dub D has returned home after a hospitalization at Loyola to treat an infection in his shoulder. For the next four weeks he will be having daily infusions of antibiotics to deal with this. These will take place in Homer Glen on weekdays and at Loyola in Maywood on the weekends and holidays. Chemotherapy is being postponed.
Johnny D is improving after last week’s fall, but still needs some oxygen if his levels get too low. He expected to be released on Thursday. Ask for good healing and patience for him.
Sarah A has been experiencing more numbness in her legs for the past couple of months (this started last summer). She has undergone brain and spine scans. A lesion on her spine appeared in one of the scans which could be associated with MS, although the neurologist does not think that it’s MS. But to be sure, Sarah had a high resolution MRI of that specific area at Northwestern on Thursday. They are waiting for results. Pray for Sarah and Morgan and Donna and family as Sarah is also adjusting to living as a freshman at Trinity.
“Thank you for the cards and words of sympathy we received following the passing of my grandma, Wilhemina S.” Sue and Dave L and family
Cheri V, 16 year old daughter of Jim and Laura (director of Self Help Jobs) (and niece of Val & Ken H), has been missing since running away on Saturday, August 21. Pray that she be found and be safe and pray for strength and peace for her family too.

Ed D has been in hospice care at home for the past week. The challenges in adjusting to this chapter of life are frustrating but he and Carol greatly appreciate your prayers and other encouragement.
Dub and Marilyn D are also grateful for your prayers and support. Dub has intense pain in his shoulder, which may be rotator cuff damage. He is very tired as he continues chemotherapy. Remember both Dub and Marilyn.
John D had a serious fall while working. He fell 20 feet and landed on a utility cart. He has been in ICU at Hinsdale Hospital. He broke ribs, bones in his back, his collar bone, and has a collapsed lung. Please pray for him and his family.
Eileen H remains at Marianjoy at Providence Central. She is receiving therapy but does not have an appetite and it is difficult to gain strength. Keep lifting up Eileen and Ben.
Marilyn J would like to thank the people of Faith Church for the cards, prayers and other demonstrations of support following her recent surgery on her broken arm.
Richard M, who has battled cancer and been cancer-free for several years, has some spots on his liver that his doctor wants to biopsy. Richard hopes to have that done soon. Richard and Christi D will be married in one month. Ask for health for Richard and peace for both Richard and Christi.
